Domain Name Information

When we take a look at the domain information for this pharmacy we can see that it was registered in 2008. The longer a site has been around, the more likely they are to be a safe place to purchase your meds in our experience, so this is pretty good to find.

registered in 2018

What isn’t quite as good to see is that the owner of this store is using a privacy service to hide their contact information. This is something we normally expect of a scam pharmacy so this isn’t a good sign.

Business Address Details

The pharmacy doesn’t seem to provide their contact information on the site, though they may only include this within the member area of the store. We would expect reputable pharmacies to have no problem providing their real-world contact information, so this is an issue.

Looking elsewhere online, we find an address for the pharmacy in Clearwater, Florida, USA. When checking this address it appears to be genuine business premises for the drugstore.

Regulatory Approvals

This pharmacy has accreditation seals from VIPPS and URAC on their site. This should suggest that the business is run in a safe manner which provides care to patients in accordance with approved standards.

However, when checking the accreditation with the VIPPS program we run into an issue. VIPPS is a program operated by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and is for businesses which sell drugs online in the United States.

VIPPS makes sure that patients have confidentiality, that prescription standards are kept to, that there is consultation available with a pharmacist and that they operate a quality assurance policy. When checking with the NABP we find that they aren’t current members and re-accreditation is in progress.

accredited for 3 years

This could just be a formality and not an issue, but when we check with URAC we also find a problem. It would appear that their accreditation has also lapsed with this organization, having expired on 06/01/2018.

full accreditation

The site says “Full Accreditation” but then shows the expiration date which is over a year ago. This could just be another mistake, perhaps, but it doesn’t look very good whatever the case.

When looking to LegitScript for a clarification in this matter, we find that they give the drugstore the rating of legitimate.

legitimate

Services Offered

They are a compounding pharmacy able to customize formulas suitable for individual patient’s needs. They also offer:

  • automatic refills
  • auto-dispensing
  • an emergency pharmacist consultation
  • therapy management services

Pending Government Action

The reason for the issues with accreditation may be explained by the fact that this pharmacy has been named as a defendant in a case where they are being sued by The State of Connecticut. They are accused of being involved in a scheme to defraud the Connecticut Pharmacy Benefit Plan of nearly $11 million between 2014 and 2015.

The scheme involved filing fake claims for the expensive compound meds sold by the pharmacy. Many different people were drawn into the scheme to extract more money out of the state system. It is alleged that the pharmacy gave kickbacks to the participants, often retirees, who were claiming the expensive pills through the benefits plan.

While this case hasn’t yet been resolved it is only alleged and they may be completely absolved of any guilt in the matter, but it doesn’t look good either way.

Payment and Shipping

They will take payment using credit cards and they also accept most health insurance, but they do require that you phone them to complete an order.

Shipping of your order is free and you should receive it within 10 business days.

AssuredRx.com Reviews

There are a few customer testimonials on the homepage of this pharmacy. They are complimentary of the service as you would expect.

positive

Finding any AssuredRx.com reviews on independent sites is a difficult task. We were only able to locate a single customer testimonial on the Better Business Bureau site.

5 stars

This customer was extremely happy with the service which she received from the pharmacy. This would appear to be a genuine customer comment, though since it is the only one we have been able to locate, it doesn’t show a pattern of successful service.

Conclusion

This online pharmacy does seem to be a legit place to purchase your meds and they seem to have a few happy customers. However, while their legal issues are pending it is difficult to recommend them.

We give them a rating of 3 stars out of 5.
