Domain Name Information
The domain name record for this website address shows that this domain was registered a long time ago. The registration date of 1996 is about as far back as most businesses internet presence goes and certainly suggest that this is a legit pharmacy.
We can also see in the record that they have chosen to use a domain privacy service to hide their real details. This isn’t what we would normally expect to find from a safe pharmacy site and may not be a good indication of a reliable business.
The Pharmasave brand has been around since 1981 and was created from a merger between Western Drug Mart and United Pharmacy. The pharmacy chain operates over 650 stores across Canada, which are owned by independent business owners following a franchise model.
The business produces its own branded lines of products which are sold through the stores in Canada. They position their business as a community healthcare provider offering personalized service to their customers.
The headquarters of the business is in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. When we check the address we can see that they do have offices at that location.
The pharmacy site allows you to order refills of prescription medication. This can then be collected from your nearest store location or delivered by the store if that is offered by that particular location.
The site gives you the option to view your prescription history and look up more information about the drugs they sell. They also give information about how to use various types of products like inhalers, teach about how to read prescription labels, give information about medical conditions and offer a diabetes risk assessment among many other things.
This business provides an app on both iOS and Android to make using their business even easier. You can do all the same things on the app as you can on their site and also get reminders on your phone or tablet device.
The customer feedback for the app is, however, very mixed. On Apple’s App Store it has an overall rating of 3.6 stars and on Google Play the rating is even worse at 3.1 stars. There seem to be some issues with login and the reliability of the app which is annoying some of the store’s customers.
The site does showcase some of their own brand products which are available in their stores. They provide a wide range of different treatments in their product range, including pain medication, bandages, skin cream, mouthwash, shampoo, multivitamins and many others.
Pharmasave offers a rewards scheme to give you discounts on future purchases. They give you one point for each dollar you spend. You are able to sign up to the program on their site but then you have to bring the paperwork to your nearest pharmacy store to complete the application.
You will then only earn points when shopping at that store and none of the other 650 stores which seems odd.
Since this pharmacy supplies their products via real-world stores rather than through the site it is difficult to find Pharmasave.com reviews. There is customer feedback for some of the stores in the chain, and as you might expect these vary depending on the store location.
When checking the feedback for a store in Nova Scotia we find mostly very favorable customer comments on Facebook. The testimonials appear to be from genuine customers who largely had a good experience using the store.
The business behind this site is well established and they have a large number of branches covering most of Canada. This certainly seems to be a safe place to purchase your prescription drugs from and the customer feedback we’ve seen seems to support this view.
There are some issues with this site, however. What you are able to do on the website is fairly limited with most things having to be done in the physical store. We give this pharmacy a rating of 4 stars from a maximum of five.
POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVESThere are also quite many online pharmacies on the net that have proved themselves to be excellent ones. We keep an eye on them as well. They get into our reviews from time to time, and you can see them on the pages of our site.
We have placed the best online pharmacies into a separate list on the Pharmacy Ratings page. Ratings of online pharmacies that have successfully passed verification and check by our team: Link>>>
