OzMedsDirect.com is a pharmacy that tries to convince customers they are based in Australia. However, when we check we find that this store doesn’t dispense its pills from Australia. This is one of the problems with this store that convinces us they are a scam.

Domain Name Information
In the domain name database, we can see that this drugstore could have been online for quite a long time. Their website address has been registered since 2012, which makes them less likely to be a scam.
Normally you would expect to find some information about who owns this website in the database, but that information is missing. Instead, the owner of the website has chosen to use a privacy service to keep these details secret. Despite this looking somewhat suspicious, that isn’t necessarily the case.
Business Profile
This drugstore claims to be an Australian business, but is it really? The name of the pharmacy and the fact that they sell their pills in Australian dollars certainly suggest this. However, when we look closer at this pharmacy, it is clear that the meds don’t come from Australia.
The drugstore does give us an address in Queensland, Australia. When checking this address, we can see that they appear to be located in quite a large and prestigious building. The address they give also doesn’t seem to be complete, increasing the chances that this is a fake address.
Regulatory Approval
There doesn’t appear to be any regulatory approval for this business. They do not display any seals to show that are accredited, and the medication doesn’t even seem to be coming from Australia as you might imagine.
LegitScript has found this to be a problem as well. They have looked at this pharmacy and given them a categorization of rogue. This means that the pharmacy does not have the appropriate legal and safety assurances in place to protect their customers.
Pills Available
This drugstore seems to be mostly focused on selling men’s health pills that are generic.
Despite the pills being sold by this pharmacy being generic, the prices aren’t as low as we might expect. Checking the product pages, we also don’t find any information about who has manufactured these pills or where exactly they are dispensed from.
While it’s easy to imagine that the pills are dispensed in Australia, that is unlikely to be the case. It seems like they are sent out from India somewhere, though we don’t know the exact location.
These problems increase the risks with this pharmacy, meaning that they are more likely to be a scam. These problems increase the likelihood that the medication sold by the store isn’t as reliable as you might wish.
The pills could contain the wrong ingredients, and there simply isn’t any way of you knowing this by looking at the packet. Low-quality drugs could end up doing more harm than good if you need to rely on them to improve your health.
Payment and Shipping
The checkout pages on this pharmacy store are secure with basic security. The pharmacy does not accept payments by credit cards as you might expect. They claim that this is because big business is protecting their profits, and that hurts generic sellers of medicine in Australia.
But whatever the real reason, they will take payment through the following:
- Direct deposit
- Wire transfers
The pharmacy recommends you use your mobile phone banking app, and this could be inconvenient for some people as money transfers don’t have the same protections that credit cards normally do. This could be another indication that this pharmacy is a scam.
Delivery of your medications is expected in between 10 and 15 business days to anywhere in Australia. They say that they use a Swiss carrier, and they offer a flat rate delivery charge of $19.99 no matter what size of order you have made. Free shipping is also offered when you spend more than $150.
OzMedsDirect.com Reviews
While this pharmacy claims to be trustworthy, we have been unable to find many OzMedsDirect.com reviews. We’ve only actually found one customer comment about this store, and it isn’t good.
This customer complains that his order was not delivered, and tracking didn’t work. They call them a scam, and we can’t disprove this belief.
Conclusion
There are many problems with this pharmacy, including the pretense of being an Australian drugstore. The owner of this pharmacy may be in Australia, but the pills certainly don’t come from there.
We give this pharmacy 1 star and encourage you to look elsewhere as there are better options.

Not a scam site. Been buying from Oz Meds Direct for 6 years. They have had some serious delivery problems this year and have shut down their site for a few weeks while the problems are attended to.
A big unfair that they are labeled as a scam when they aren’t but that’s the internet I suppose. It’s very hard to know who to trust.
Thanks for your comment. When we were writing the article there were points that raised some doubts. We just relied on the facts that were known.
NOT a scam site at all. I have used them in the past and they delivered an effective product in a timely manner.
This was just before the Covid 19 pandemic, and like a lot of other businesses relying on importing products from overseas, they would have run into fulfillment problems at this time, hence some orders being delivered late.
And if you had bothered to read their website CORRECTLY, you would have seen that they CLEARLY say that they import the product from India, and they even name the wholesale pharmacy supplier that they use.
Probably a good idea that you do your homework thoroughly next time BEFORE you besmirch a company that you obviously know very little about.
David Francis.
Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the company. It’s understandable that external factors like the pandemic could lead to delays in product delivery. Your insight about their transparent sourcing information is noted. Remember, opinions can vary, and your perspective adds valuable context to the discussion.
