Regulatory Approvals

Online pharmacies should have regulatory approval to show that they are keeping to certain trading standards and that they use a real pharmacy to dispense the drugs they sell. Medsbb.com uses some seals from PharmacyChecker.com and the US Department of Human Services.

These accreditations are fake and they are committing fraud in using them. When you click on these seals there is a popup window containing more information about the accreditation. Rather bizarrely, the information given in these popup certificates isn’t even for Medsbb.com and gives the name ‘European Pharmacy’.

It gets stranger when you realize that the name ‘European Pharmacy’ has clearly been photo-shopped into these certificates. Whoever changed the name on these certificates didn’t do a good job of it, partially covering over the phone number on one and the alignment of the text is wrong on the other. There isn’t even any further mention of the European Pharmacy on the site beyond these faked certificates.

Neither, MedsBB or European Pharmacy are listed on the Pharmacy Checker site as approved drug sellers. LegitScript.com hasn’t heard of this website either, which suggests it is very new and isn’t popular enough to have shown up on their radar. Yet.

 

Who Runs Medsbb.com?

The company name is given at the bottom of every page of the site. The company is BB Meds and they give a Swiss address. When checking this address, you find that it is actually the address of the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the University of Bern. Though you don’t have to examine this forensically to realize that this isn’t the real address of the people behind this online pharmacy.

Somehow, I don’t think that the University of Bern is running this scam online pharmacy. The domain name records may provide some indication of who is really behind this online pharmacy.

 

Domain Name Information

The domain name medsbb.com was only registered this year and they have only paid for one year of use of this name. This isn’t the sort of practice you would find with a legit business. Businesses normally want to make sure they hold on to their domain name for many years. The domain name is, after all, an asset of the company. If it is only registered for one year this would suggest a business that won’t be around for long.

Whoever registered this address, used a privacy service to make sure you don’t know who they are. The privacy service is based in Moscow which would suggest the owner is Russian based.

 

Payment and Shipping

You can, if you dare, buy drugs from this site using Mastercard, Visa, MoneyGram and Western Union. The use of MoneyGram and Western Union to make purchases is not advised. You have no protection with these services and once you have sent the money refunds are not possible. These money wiring services are well liked by people trying to scam money from the unsuspecting public.

Delivery is by either airmail or express courier and can take up to 21 days. Free shipping is available to those brave enough to spend 300 dollars on this site.

 

Medsbb.com Reviews

The store itself doesn’t have a page dedicated to Medsbb.com reviews, and looking elsewhere there are no customer testimonials to be found. This isn’t entirely surprising, the site is rather new and doesn’t seem to get too many customers despite what they may claim.

Online pharmacies like this one will often use customer testimonials to garner trust in their business, trust which would certainly be unwarranted in this case. At least, on this site, they haven’t gone down the path of posting fake testimonials to trick potential customers.

The only sign of any customer interaction on the store is in the ratings given for the different drugs on offer. All the drugs for sale have ratings of between 4 and 5 stars. If these ratings were real you wouldn’t expect such uniformity, with some of the drugs naturally getting really low ratings. Since this isn’t the case, these ratings must be fake.

 

Conclusion

When you are looking to buy pills online, one of the primary things you should be looking for is a company which can be trusted. Medsbb.com certainly isn’t trustworthy. They are hiding behind a fake address, use domain privacy, and appear to be actually located in Russia. This is a short-lived site which may not be around too much longer. Don’t buy your medicine here, 1-star out of 5.
