World-Rx.com is an online pharmacy which claims to be based in North America. They seem to offer free brand-name pills with every order and promise the best prices. We investigate the details behind this store to uncover many reasons to doubt these claims and avoid this site.

Domain Name Information
The Whois database shows us that this domain name was first registered in 2010 through a Russian registrar. We are also told that a privacy service has been employed to keep the real owner’s details out of this database. Whilst a store which has been around for over eight years is a good sign, the use of a privacy service can often indicate a scam online pharmacy.
Business Contact Details
When looking around this drugstore it is noticeable that the business name and address is nowhere to be found. This is a problem because it speaks to the reliability of the store, and a business that doesn’t want you to know where they are could signal problems.
The logo of the store says ‘Canadian MEDS Store’ and the phone number is for Switzerland. However, the available details – domain registrar, server location and nameservers – seems to suggest the real location of the owners of the site is in Russia.
Regulatory Approval
This online drugstore has an uncertain background and it is, therefore, difficult to work out what sort of regulation they should be following. If you are to believe the site logo, then this is a Canadian business. They don’t display any indication of regulation from anywhere in the world, however. The main Canadian regulatory association is CIPA and we can check their database to see that they aren’t members.
LegitScript don’t care where in the world a pharmacy is located, they will evaluate the store for its legality regardless. This store is given the classification of a rogue Internet pharmacy, which isn’t following the rules.
Medicine on Sale
Despite the use of brand names throughout the store, they actually only sell generic drugs. The site only has a fairly small selection of products available, the best sellers being centered around men’s health issues.
Though they claim to be a North American pharmacy, the only mention of the dispensing of medicine seems to point towards India.
Social Media
It is good to see a link near the bottom of the page to a Twitter profile. It’s not quite so great, however, that their account has been suspended. The reason for this suspension isn’t given, but the most likely cause could be spam or deceptive practice. Whatever the reason, the fact that they are still linking to this profile suggests that the owner isn’t really bothered with the site.
Payment and Shipping
Payment can be made using
- Visa
- Mastercard
- JCB
- Diners Club
- Western Union
The site has a valid security certificate which is the basic level of protection online retailers should have.
Shipping options are either registered mail or express delivery. Registered mail costs $9.95 and takes up to 30 days, express costs $24.95 but delivery takes half the time.
World-Rx.com Reviews
The World-Rx.com reviews we find on this site feature heavily throughout the store, duplicated on every page. There are a total of six highly positive testimonials, each with a black and white photo of the customer. Whilst a photo of the reviewer may make you think that this comment is more believable, it rings an alarm bell for us. If it was just one or two of the testimonials which had a photo, it would be far more likely to be genuine.
It seems highly unlikely that all of these customers would agree to provide a photo, so we check further. It turns out that these customer comments and photos have been used previously on another online pharmacy.
The testimonials on the other store are even dated prior to the creation of the World Rx site, so we know they have been copied. The use of this fake duplicate customer feedback is an attempt to trick you.
Conclusion
Though this store has been around for over eight years there isn’t much else good about this pharmacy. The customer feedback has been taken from somewhere else and the owners appear to be based in Russia with pills dispatched from India.
For these reasons and others, we can only award World Rx just 2-stars out of a maximum of five. There are clearly more reliable drugstores to place your trust in.
